Technical photography is an important part of archaeology - capturing accurate images of our sites is key to creating a comprehensive and high-quality archival record.

#TeamCFA is also encouraged to flex their creative muscles through a monthly company photo competition. We give out a theme or prompt which aims to inspire our archaeologists to look at things in new and different ways.

Our July theme was 'Depth of Field', and this gorgeous shot was submitted by one of our resident buildings archaeologists, Jenni, while up in Dumfries and Galloway. We love a good portal!
